Biodiesel is a renewable fuel, meaning that it captures the energy from existing flows of energy or natural processes.  For biodiesel, that natural process is the growth of vegetables.  Biodiesel is converted from vegetable oil or animal fats that can be used in nearly any compression ignition (diesel) engine or diesel boilers with no system modifications.
